VZAccess Manager

Verizon wireless has two versions of VZAccess Manager.

• There is the pre-packaged VZAM CD that is shipped with all USB/PC Card and PDA devices that are purchased. This VZAM is adequate for individuals and small companies.
  

• The other version is the Enterprise VZAM and it can only be download from the VZAM Enterprise Portal. This VZAM has some features that the consumer version does not.
  

1. No Drivers are supplied with this version.
2. Certain features are disabled.
3. Utilizes a Configuration Tool to customize.
4. Both EXE and MSI versions available.
5. Full Documentation available for configuration and deployment.
6. Requires a User Name and Password to gain access to portal.

VZAM can be installed in many ways. The preferred method would be an Enterprise Software Deployment Tool like Microsoft SMS. It can also be deployed using Scripts or a simple Batch File.

Below is some examples of how VZAM can be deployed:

• Silent Install of EXE File - VZAccess Manager.exe /s
• Silent Install of MSI File - msiexec /qn /i VZAccess Manager.msi
• Driver Install of MSI File - KPC650.msi /quiet
• Driver Install of EXE File - KPC650.exe /s

• Silent Removal of EXE File - C:\Program Files\Verizon Wireless\VZAccess Manager\UNWISE.EXE /S install.log
• Silent Removal of MSI File - msiexec /qn /x “VZAccess.msi
• Driver Removal of MSI File - msiexec /qn /x KPC650.msi
